In late 2009 early 2010, four coworking places opened up in Atlanta! From West to East (since Smyrna is west): Strongbox West, The Hub Atlanta, Ignition Alley, and in Decatur, 151 Locust.

I think you might be talking about HotSpotr:

http://hotspotr.com/wifi

I used to go to a Caribou here in Roswell and they charged like $4 for every two hours. It wasn't unreasonable, but I've heard that they've changed it to where you get free wifi as long as you purchase something every few hours.

Absolutely. I'm writing this from the ITP Caribou Coffee in Sandy Springs. At one point, nearly everyone here with their laptops out were not students, but business folks like myself. I get tired of working out of my house and just want to confirm there are other people in the world. Coming here lets me do that and others here are working too, so all conversation is kept to a dull roar.

Although I can't remember it at the moment, there's a site on the Web that lists all free hotspots in a given city. I think if you google "free wifi hotspots atlanta" you'll be able to find those locations easily enough.

I would love to see this happen at spots all over the metro. I live in East Cobb/Marietta but I work remotely for a company in Denver. My 2 Jack-Russel dogs and my son's to-and-from school are hurting my productivity. I believe that I would benefit from a place like this.

I often work at Muss & Turner's in Smyrna or the new Starbucks on South Atlanta Road at 285. I'd love a coworking solution for those times when I am not on the road but stuck at home for weeks on end.

I would totally join a co-working facility in my area! (Someone described it to me as "like a gym, for your brain.") That would rock.
